Private Villa,
Jumeirah Golf Estate
A 9,500 sq ft private residence designed in a language that bridges classical European architecture and contemporary Gulf luxury — spaces that feel timelessly grand without the coldness that grandeur often brings. The living room is the heart of the design: a barrel-vaulted ceiling with gridded plasterwork bathes the space in diffused light, while a full-height natural stone wall — raw, veined and geological — grounds the room in texture and depth. Against this, bespoke circular relief panels in white plaster create a composed focal moment, the contrast between roughness and precision intentional throughout. The entry foyer sets expectations immediately: fluted columns and a double arch frame an axis that leads directly to the living room, with a crystal chandelier suspended at the midpoint as a deliberately theatrical pivot. The bronze-toned entertainment alcove — with arched glass panels and a custom joinery TV unit — sits as a jewel box within the larger space, its warm patina a deliberate contrast to the ivory tones elsewhere. The library brings a different quality of intimacy: arched bookshelves with globe lighting, terracotta armchairs and a warm wood-panelled partition wall create a room that feels layered, personal and deeply considered. In the dining room, a custom gold chandelier of cascading rods hovers above a black marble dining table — the moment where the warmth of the design reaches its peak.
